Game Day Operations Student Assistant (Work-Study)

Keuka College - Keuka Park, NY

Setting up and taking down NCAA home games/events. Some games/events require just 1-2 workers and some events require 6-8 workers. There are times when more than one team is playing at home.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Setting up for a variety of athletic events: PA system, bleachers/benches/chairs, score keeping/ball person/linesman, field markers, goals/stakes, scoreboard operation, and scorers’ tables.
  • Meet/Greet visiting teams upon their arrival.
  • Hours will be inconsistent as games/events may be cancelled and rescheduled due to weather issues.
  • Learn and/or approve upon time management and interpersonal skills when meeting with other teams.
  • Learn and/or improve upon his/her ability to meet set schedules.
  • Learn and/or improve upon the ability to be flexible and ability to work under pressure.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Eligible for a Federal work-study or Keuka work-study award.
  2. Current Keuka College in the traditional undergraduate on-campus program.
  3. Must be flexible when schedule dictates.
  4. Must be punctual and follow dress-code.
  5. Must be willing to represent Keuka College in a positive and professional manner.
  6. Ability to follow instructions on the operation of all game day equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  2. Required weekend and evening hours required.
  3. Required to work after 2:30 p.m. during week days.
  4. Required to work in inclement weather, on occasion.
