Applications are invited for a three-year fix term with the option to renew, 12-month faculty position in the Social Work Division at the rank of lecturer. The MSW Field Director is responsible for teaching MSW courses on campus and at our community sites, as well as fulfill the requirements of the Field Director role.The qualified candidate will have teaching experience in one or more of the following functional areas of Social Work: clinical practice, social welfare, ethics, policy, research, assessment, and human behavior in the social environment. In addition, expertise and clinical experience in one of the following areas is preferred: aging, developmental disabilities, health care, military social work, neurobiology in clinical social work, and substance use. The successful candidate will enjoy teaching students at the graduate level. In addition, we value a faculty member who has excitement for experiential activities in and out of the classroom. This position also supports academic program quality and student success through activities such as advising, course and curriculum development, and scholarly activities. Specific Responsibilities
Deliver course instruction in traditional, accelerated, and online formats.
Serve as an advisor to students/cohorts
Coordinate the activities of the student cohort advisors
Participate in ongoing professional development and self-evaluation.
Support ongoing curriculum review, revision, and updates.
Deliver a teaching load determined by the Provost/ VPAA, and Division Chair. This teaching load may include a variety of instructional delivery formats including campus, offsite, hybrid, and/ or online.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Work Division, administration, and staff to ensure program quality and accreditation.
Support Student Success initiatives.
Participate in periodic Social Work Division and program meetings, as well as any related activities.
Meet other program needs as directed by the Division Chair and Program Director.
Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and advising.
Contribute to the College and community through participation in institution functions, community activities, and committee service.
Demonstrate continuing professional and educational growth and maintain expertise in areas of teaching responsibility.
Provide oversight and coordination of graduate field placements for the MSW program.
Write, review, and revise field policies that directly impact students in practicum and ensure they remain current with CSWE standards and related regulations and policies.
Assist the MSW Program Director in writing the CSWE accreditation documents—specifically, portions directly related to field.
Participate in curriculum development, in particular, provide expertise and constructive criticism in curriculum development and revision for courses that have field practicum requirements.
Coordinate and collaborate work with Field staff regarding activities that benefit the MSW field, such as: new practicum site development, training of field instructors and field liaisons, placing of students in field practicum sites, coordinate and facilitate field instructor receptions, Field manual revisions, field forms, etc.
Provide support via telephone and e-mail regarding concerns, questions regarding the MSW field placement and options, etc.
Responsibility for ensuring that the Agency Agreements are signed by all parties prior to the start of Field Practicum for MSW students.
Responsible for the evaluation of the MSW field in collaboration with the Evaluation Coordinator and/or the Social Work Division Evaluation Committee through coordinating the collection all Final Evaluations, and any other field evaluations, to generate the Field Report for specific cohorts by region(s) and curriculum (MSW Foundation or Advanced), which would be distributed to the respective Program Directors and the Evaluation Coordinator.
Participate in meetings, including, but not limited to the following meetings: MSW Program meetings, Social Work Division Meetings, Social Work Division Field Meetings, Faculty Meetings, other meetings as indicated or by request of the Division Chair.
Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
Attend provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of a clinical MSW degree with five years’ post MSW direct practice experience culminating in an LCSW or LCSW-R designation. A Ph.D. is strongly preferred in Social Work or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably encompassing a traditional, accelerated, and hybrid format with both traditional and non-traditional students.
Clinical expertise and teaching experience in one of the following areas: aging, developmental disabilities, health care, military social work, neurobiology in clinical social work, and substance use
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Excel, and Googledocs.
Experience with Course and Learning Management Software (i.e. Blackboard, Moodle) in support of online coursework.
Excellent planning, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times.
Ability to be sensitive and respond to the needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of boxes, supplies, etc., generally less than 30lbs.
