Academic Student Notetaker (Work-Story)

Keuka College - Keuka Park, NY

Notetakers will be responsible to attend regularly and take clear, concise notes in designated classes. They will then be required to bring those notes to the Academic Success at Keuka (ASK) Program Office to copy and leave. Copy cards are provided by the Academic Success at Keuka Program (ASK) Office.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Learn to enhance his/her listening and note taking skills by note taking for other students
  • Attend class, take clear and concise notes
  • Make copies of notes and leave in Academic Success at Keuka (ASK) Program Office
  • Follow all ASK policies and procedures for this position accordingly

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Must have a Federal work study or Keuka work study award
  2. Must have a successful academic record
  3. Does NOT need to be registered/currently taking the class that one was hired to take notes for
  4. Prefer students who are good at note taking
  5. Minimum grade point average of 3.0 preferred

Physical Requirements

  1. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  2. Required weekend and evening hours required (depending on when classes/courses are scheduled).
